Winter Storing (Sponsored Post)

I did my bi-annual task of going through the lil diva's wardrobe and removing the clothes that were too small for her in preparing for the upcoming season. The results were 10,899,678 tops and dresses and 10 bottoms lol. I knew we were going to have a problem. Luckily, my timing of cleaning house was perfect as it coincided with Gymboree's big sale! I stocked up on my shortage of bottoms for the lil diva to prepare for the winter and decided to browse the site for some other fav items and this what I came up with:
I love matching but I love coordinating even more!! I selected these bottoms because of their versatility to be paired with various types of tops. The tops were selected because they looked fun lol but really each item could be paired with one another to create some lively and bold outfits!! Since Halloween is a few days away I couldn't resist this purrfect outfit for the occasion!

Now is the perfect time to stock up on these winter items and store up for the cold season ahead. The Gymboree sale is up to 80% and ends soon!!

Mini Post: creamy chicken noodle soup

Another pinterest recipe success! I added in onion soup mix since it was in the house and figured it would add flavor (which it did) but otherwise than that I added in the usual of chicken, chicken broth, cream of chicken soup, mixed veggies and noodles. It came out quite delish!

Banana Ice Cream!!

I don't know why I never made this sooner. It's like the easiest and most delicious dessert I have had this summer. I first discovered this recipe on Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood (yes a cartoon) but I have seen numerous recipes of it on pinterest. For mine I just used half a frozen banana cut in thirds and about 1/4 cup milk. Since I'm without a blender I used my food chopper/processor which worked just as fine (a little bit more messier than a blender though). The result was a creamy blend of banana goodness. The lil' diva loved it too!!

I think next time I will make enough for myself as I've been wanting to use my hot pepper chocolate sauce and having that drizzled over this just sounds oh so tasty!!!

Quick and Easy Peach Tea

I have been craving peach tea for nearly three years since having some almost everyday for two weeks while I was working in Kentucky. Apparently its wide spread appeal hasn't made it to Chi-town or if it has I have yet to venture to those places that do serve it. So I took the initiative today to make some! I went to the dollar store picked up some peach juice and mixed 3 parts tea with 1 part peach juice and got my tasty peach tea! I'm so happy to have found a quick and easy way to cure my longstanding peach tea craving :)

Intro to the story...

So I knew I was destined to be in Chi Town when Y! avatars created a look that was exactly identical to an outfit I wore last winter while visiting Chicago lol Seriously, I have always been a city girl trapped in the suburbs but God has finally given me the opportunity to be where I want to be. So this blog will detail my adventures of living in Chicago shown through photos (because why type a thousand words when a picture can do the same :P). I was actually inspired by this concept from Lala's blog (www.iamlala.com) since thats what she does on her website. That's the super condensed version of why I am starting a blog/moving to Chicago!
